1 1/2 cups of flour 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp Baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 TBS Cocoa powder
1/4 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup of butter or margarine 1 large egg 2 TBS orange juice or lemon juice Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Mix all the dry ingredients, add butter and mix with a pastry mixer or a fork till all the butter is mixed into the flour. Add one large lightly beaten egg the juice and vanilla extract then mix thoroughly. The dough should form a large lump and clear from the edges of the mixing bowl. Sprikle with flour and dump out on to a bread board. Form the dough in to a log two fingers wide and deep and about ten inches long. Slice the dough into 1/4 inch pieces and roll in the palm of your hand to a ball then place on the cookie sheet. Flatten the dough with two fingers till it is about an inch and a half round. When the cookie sheet has about ten to a dozen cookies place in oven to cook for ten to twelve minutes till slightly firm in the center of the cookie when touched. Remove cookies immediately from cookie sheet to a rack to cool. Repeat with remaining dough till it is used all up. When cooled dip cookies face down in sugar to serve.

I made some more cookies today but i left out the cocoa and added some nutmeg. making them more of a cinnamon spice sugar cookie. The dough was a little sticky so I just added some additional flour to stiffen it up. I think they are even better than the others.
